The Baltic Herring Market in the beginning of September will be attended by approximately 100 vendors and 20,000–30,000 visitors. Visitors will be offered traditional canned goods in various forms, glow-fried salmon, deep-fried vendace, the traditional fish soup of Satakunta, and lamperns. Additionally, mushrooms, berries, apples, baked goods as well as cheese and meat products will be available at the market. Pori Baltic Herring Market will be organised for the 27th time in the beginning of September and once again, it will open the Baltic herring season in Finland. Measured by the volume of sales, Pori Baltic Herring Market is the third largest Baltic herring market in Finland.
